About the event
In 2017 Jasper Thompson founded the charity Help Bristol's Homeless. Jasper and his wife decided that the best approach to homelessness was one of housing first, so he initially purchased some shipping containers which were converted into micro flats for people to live in. Their site in Bristol now has over 20 shipping containers converted into micro flats, a shower block, a laundry, a kitchen, dining room and an office. Jasper has received an honorary degree from the University of Bristol for his dedicated service to Bristol's homeless community. Jasper and his work were recently featured in the BBC television series Fabulous Feasts, hosted by the Great British Menu presenter Andi Oliver, to celebrate community-based projects throughout the country.
Join us at 11am for our Q&A with Jasper, after our walk and talk around the Seat Unique Stadium with fellow members and complimentary teas and biscuits at 10am.
