Q & A with Phil Newport

Phil, Former Worcestershire and England Cricketer known for his brilliant seam and swing bowling. He was a stalwart of Worcestershire County Cricket Club for most of the 1980s and 1990s. Phil earned his Test cap and played in 3 Test match between 1988 and 1991. 

Newport was a integral part in the county’s triumphs in the late 1980s, including winning the Benson & Hedges Cup and Refuge Assurance Cup in 1991, winning the County Championship and taking 4-38 to help Worcestershire win the NatWest Trophy in 1994.
